Frequently Asked Questions

UV-C deactivates the DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. This destroys the ability of the pathogen to replicate, multiply and cause disease. The microbe or pathogen is effectively rendered harmless.

UV-C lamp/lighting equipment should not be used with human beings present in the same enclosed environment. UV-C can cause skin and eye irritation if humans are exposed. Only use UV-C devices in unoccupied rooms and areas. ADIBOT UV-C disinfection solutions are equipped with a large array of safety features to prevent accidental exposure to UV-C.

No, UV-C cannot penetrate glass and most plastics. Specifically, glass will block 100% of any UV with a wavelength under 330 nm. UV-C falls under that threshold and is therefore blocked.

No. UV wavelengths under 200 nm (specifically 185 nm) generate ozone. ADIBOT UV-C lamps operate at the germicidal frequency, wavelength of 253.7nm and are therefore well above the 200 nm threshold.  In addition, ADIBOT lamps are quartz doped which block UV wavelengths under 200nm.

The S1 is an intelligent stationary robot while the A1 is a fully autonomous robot that does not require an operator to function.

Yes, in addition to being able to purchase a robot outright, we offer equipment financing and leasing options. Contact us for more information about financing options.

Typically within 10 business days.  Exact delivery times will be communicated during the quote and ordering process. After placing the order with the ADIBOT Sales team, you can always check your order status with our customer service team at support@adibot.com.

This depends on many factors, including the square footage of the desired spaces to be disinfected, the number of rooms to be disinfected, the frequency of disinfection and the time allotted for disinfection, to name a few. Please contact an ADIBOT representative to discuss best practices for specific spaces and layouts at sales@adibot.com.

The ADIBOT Training team will work with you to schedule and provide free on-site training when you receive your A1 unit(s). We will walk you through all the safety protocols and train you on how to map and operate the A1 to disinfect safely and efficiently.

Initial setup includes a 12 hour on-site training with the A1 purchase along with access to a self-paced training course through our LMS (Learning Management System) and certifications for your operators.

You can select a disinfection time from 1 minute to 30 minutes for each disinfection point and as many disinfection points desired. The length of time you choose will be largely dependent on the size of your room, how many disinfection points you choose, and the pathogen you are looking to disinfect.

The A1 notifies you when the disinfection task is completed.

It will broadcast: “Task completed”, the top light strip will pulsate white and the lamps will turn off and no longer glow blue. The safety sign indicator lights will show green to indicate the disinfection task is complete and that it is safe to enter the room. The app on the accompanying tablet and ADIS the online reporting platform will notify that the disinfection task has been  completed.

The UV-C lamps are rated for a 16,000-hour lifespan.

Yes, the A1’s UV-C lamps have a shatterproof coating that helps minimize accidental breakage and prevents debris from spreading.

Yes. Data, reports, and device management for the A1 can be accessed via our cloud platform ADIS.

Using SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) a variety of sensing technologies including two LiDAR systems, a RBDG depth perception camera with TOF sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and IR sensors, the A1 is highly capable of navigating to required targeted areas with incredible precision and can navigate within centimeters of objects and through the narrowest of spaces.

Yes, you may contact the service team at sales@adibot.com to order the accessories.

Yes, you can use the tablet and the web portal at the same time to control the A1. You can use the tablet to deploy the disinfection tasks and pause/stop the tasks via the web portal or vice versa. The web portal will always sync the robot’s latest status even after the robot is operated from the tablet.

The A1 has an estimated 8 hours of average use on a 4 hour charge.

The A1 can navigate up to 0.5″ door thresholds.  Common door thresholds are 0.25” in height.

Yes, the robot has 16 lamps wrapped around a highly reflective anodized aluminum core that provides a full 360 degrees of UV-C coverage.

The A1 can be pushed easily using the handlebars once the wheels are unlocked. To unlock the wheels, double press the power button located on the rear of the robot.  It can also be dispatched to a location in a pre-mapped environment through its app.
